Unfinished "Yule Prog" Business leads to a new Chaz Kangas single, produced by Uncommon Nasa

As the time of year where "Yule Prog" would have taken place returns once again, we have a cool story behind this single.

Back at Yule Prog 2, we had the first (and only) "Yule Prog Battle". This was back in 2008, at Galapagos in BKNY. The winner of the battle was promised a prize of $100 cash (paid!) and a digital single on Uncommon Records, Produced by Uncommon Nasa.

The winner that emerged from a field that included Rabbi Darkside, Taiyamo Denku, Super King Armor and more was none other than Minneapolis' own - Chaz Kangas!

Chaz and Nasa have stayed in touch over the years and finally....some 17 years later....now....a single is presented!

Red Pen Corrections finds Nasa producing a playful, skeletal (pun intended) beat for Chaz to crack one liners over, flexing the sense of humor that won him that battle in the first place.

The single comes with the instrumental and accapella versions and is exclusively on Bandcamp for the next month - in January it will join all other streaming services.

Enjoy the "Yule Prog" season, Uncommon Records has much in store for 2026.
