Pastense's music addresses a fascination with nature that can only be seen through the lens of a lifelong city dweller. His fixation with the balance of sun and cold, good and evil, life and death, brightness and dark is exhibited in almost all of his writing. Representing Boston well, he's created a legacy of refined EP's with producers like Uncommon Nasa, Willie Green, John Sarastro and more - all the while maintaining his unique worldview on each project.
After practically an album's worth of collaborations with Uncommon Nasa over the last several years, Pastense joins the fold officially on Uncommon Records. Starting with the re-issues of his EP with Shortrock, Good Will Cutting and his LP, Paper Cuts and Aged Spirits. This lead up to his Uncommon Nasa-produced full length Sidewalk Chalk, Parade Day Rain.
We're thinking Pastense fits in around here and sky's the limit, but Pastense will no doubt maintain his dedication to balance with his well grounded music.

Pastense’s Paper Cuts and Aged Spirits Digipak CD exclusively includes all of it’s instrumentals. The gatefold layout was made by Jennifer Powell, using original artwork from John Tracey. It features Uncommon Nasa, DJ Zesto Q and Shortrock with production also from Nasa, Messiah Musik, Willie Green, John Sarastro an Simeus.
Produced by Uncommon Nasa and released independently in 2016, Pastense & Shortrock bring 5 tracks to this EP. Good Will Cutting has just been re-issued digitally by Uncommon Records and these CDs come from some warehouse stock of the original release. Original artwork on the cover is by John Tracey and the CD comes in a cardboard sleeve.
*The digital streaming and Bandcamp DL (see below) include a newly re-mastered version that includes all of the Uncommon Nasa produced instrumentals. This CD is from the original pressing and only includes the 5 original versions of the tracks that make up the EP.
